What a wonderful first week back! Thank you to everyone who came and supported us at the Allendale Fair! We raised approx. £200 on the hotdog stall which we are using towards a lovely new bookcase for the quiet area! The children also won £10 for Pre-school with their fabulously decorated ‘wrong trousers’ so congratulations to them! We are going to use the money to have an icecream treat for everyone! You may have noticed a familiar face returning to work this week! Jodie is returning from her maternity leave and will be working Monday-Wednesday each week, she will be Deputy Leader and Inclusion Co-ordinator for the three days she is here, with Helena becoming Safeguarding officer full time and Deputy Leader on Thursday and Friday each week.
This week a few children have told us about the world cup, there’s obviously lots of football supporting families connected to Pre-school! So over the next few weeks we will be looking at countries around the world, England are playing Italy on Saturday the 14th June so next week we will be learning about Italy! So anything related to Italy, recipes, pictures, brochures, books, etc would be gratefully received for the week!
Our letter sound for the week will be ‘p’ a short p, p, p sound
Please make sure you send sun cream in for your child, we would also appreciate the children having sun hats!
Lots of children are starting to wear sandals in this lovely summer weather! Please can you make sure they are not too loose, e.g. crocs, as we are finding that children are prone to tripping over in loose shoes.
Please can spare clothing be returned? We are missing nearly every boys top that we had in spare clothing.
