Session times
We are open from 9am – 3:15pm each day during term time, However with prior arrangements with staff, we can offer an early drop off service from 8.30am.
Our session times are:
Morning: 9am – 11:45am
Lunch: 11:45am – 12:45pm
Afternoon: 12:45pm – 3:15pm
Daily routine
No two days at Pre-School are ever the same as we have a rich and varied timetable.
However there are some things we like to keep the same as part of our routine where possible.
* Welcome song and circle time
* Free-flow activities (indoors and outdoors / local visits)
*Snack time
* Story time / song time / music and movement
*Lunch
*Afternoon repeats morning.
…and always lots of FUN!
We are lucky to have an outdoor area which is partially covered by a canopy: the doors from Pre School are open into this secure outoor area at all times, encouraging the children to free flow through out the session.
We hope to have our new garden project started very soon, so watch this space!
Some of our staff are Forest School trained and we value what this adds to our provision.
Meals and snacks
Fresh drinking water and snacks are available at all times for the children, and we also encourage the children to join in snack time at each session, this is a valuable opportunity to develop social skills, and learn about healthy eating.
The children often chose the snacks themselves on our regular visits to Allendale Co-op. At lunchtime children have the choice of bringing their own packed lunch or a two-course lunch can be purchased which is provided by Allendale Primary School.
